General point of interest ----------- The amazing E Type bonnet is one third of the whole car and the central panel includes the power bulge needed to accommodate the Jaguar XK engine's cam covers with cooling louvres to dissipate heat from the engine. The revised Series 2 bonnet's air intake is an incredible 68% larger than the series 1 E Type bonnet, but was still produced from the original tooling and with the chrome bar across the mouth now contained a growler badge that was oval in shape.
